Everything was done under warranty.

The only negative thing was that I didnt have my car for 8 days.. But it was worth waiting - finally no squeaking

I'll be at the dealer today for a Zclub meeting and I figure I'll have one of the techs there tell confirm whether my issue is the same as all of yours.

I wrote two emails to "Gettel Nissan" of Sarasota which is really close to my house about the problems and some other TSBs that need to be fixed for my car (worn seat and problematic rear latch) they still haven't gotten back to me after two weeks.

Just thought I'd give them some negative press since they're blowing me off.

$hit... my car started to squeak again. This time is is a different squeak. When I go and start my car in the morning it is squeaking. It will be squeaking untill the car warms up... and it is not the belt. When I press the clutch pedal the squeak stops... when I release it the squeak comes back. After I drive a bit the squeak is gone.

I called my dealer and they want my car overnight so they can duplicate the noise. They said again no loaner/rental car (after keeping my car for 8 days last time).

Today I called NNA and told them about it. My initial complain about the clutch was made on October 14, 2005 (my car had 7500miles then)! Since that time they:
- lubricated the clutch pedal =>didnt help
-replaced my clutch pedal assembly => didnt help
-replaced clutch, pressure plate and a bearing =>stopped the original squeak, but a new one started.

Total I have been with out my car for about 10 days. I am pissed as hell - this clutch thing is killing me.

EDIT: the nissan specialist will call me within 48 hours.
Can I request that they buy this car and give me a credit towards a new one?

i also got the squeeky sound coming from the clutch pedal... It comes once in a while but it doesnt really bother me.. oh wellz...

I doubt that they would buy the car from u and give u a new one. The prob is to be very severe! U can tell them ur going to some psychological prob caused by the noise...

my bro in law works for a dealer and the whole process of the dealer buying ur car back and gettin u a new one takes a long time. Theirs a whole process the dealer tech has to go through. They;ll try their best to fix the car before replacing the car with a new man!

I just got the SQUEAK today 03 Z @ 27K miles. It's actually more than a squeak. A screeching noicse when pushing the clucth pedal in. You can hear it outside the car it is so loud. It's worse if you push it in slowly. I'm making an appointment this week @ the dealer.

Ok - I know what you are feeling - I almost traded in my car cause of that.

I had a squeak comming from outside of the car. In my case there was somethign wrong with the throw out bearing. They got me a new clutch, preasure plate and a bearing and it stopped. 8k miles more and no squeak.

If the squeak in inside the car then proboably it is the pedal. Just spray some wd40 on the whole pedal assembly and it should work.

hope it helps.

I had it done when I was under 12k miles. nissan service sucks - they do not want to pay for anything. It took me a lot of trips so they could finally "duplicate the noise". and then they told me if that was caused by abuse I would have to pay for this out of my pocket.

I would say go and give it a try. it is up to them if they will help you or not.

I forgot about this thread so I'm quoting myself. Dealer installed new clutch/Flywheel and Transmission under warranty. They later billed me $100 for some part that isn't covered. My Z is on it's 3rd Clutch and 3rd Tranny!! Hit 31K miles this week.

THIS ABSOLUTELY SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. Take to another dealer if you get denied warranty coverage.
