Need to get them on a real "Cam Doctor" to profile and degree. Unmeasurable variances of cam timing (lobe position)1/2degree or more makes a lope in the idle due to different cylinder fill rates.
I would question if any current cams are that good, OEM has been know to vary a lot but the lack of idle overlap hides these symptoms.
The SBC cams we look at are real scary quality, even the big companies have loose tolerances.
Only cam grinds I've seen that had 1/4 degree accuracy are from Comp Cams.
After I have plotted flow vs. lift on my modded heads I will get Comp to grind some blanks for me.
Still need to finish oversize valve+spring pkg install from Ferrea, finish flow work, cc heads w/new valves then have Diamond Racing make custom piston.
Maybe running new motor in a couple months.

I know that isn't casidium coating at least(too bad), it cost more than the cams do.

If you reference the listing, and the listing references this thread, then this could go in circles until the end of time right?

Most OEM cams aren't that good, look at LS1 cams, comp cams make lots more power, less emissions and better MPG than the Oem ones.
We currently run a .540/300degree in a street SBC idle at 650rpm in drive and pulls enough vaccuum for power brake. Motor has 300+cfm Brodix heads w/open plenum ----"No Lope". The whole motor was flowbench balanced for every port. Pulls past 8000rpm.
My motor shop does formula atlantic 4age motors, sprint car (gas/alcohol), drag blower motors, exotic(Ferrari/Lotus/Lambo), vintage restoration.
If it has pistons it can be fixed or better Crosly Hot shot, Packard, You name it, if the parts need to be custom fabbed it's just time and MONEY

And yes most factory cams have less than 2 degrees of wander to the lobes but it's kinda like ignition timing, 1/4 degree is very smooth and produces a much smoother better running motor.

A lot of after market Chevy cams were around 4 degree (Crane, Crower, all the big names) .
Crane is suppose to have the new equipment like Comp cams, but I haven't verified this.

wow after reading up on them they seem very reputable and proven to add 20hp on an altima. The guy even gave a member of nissanclub.com a free set to prove they are the real deal. for $600 i would say these are a steal.
