if your running 19"s with street tires = no traction from a dig

you don't need AWD for traction out of the hole, the fastest vehicles from a dig street and strip are RWD with a correct suspension and tire...

You want the most sidewall you can get wether it be a DR or slick... If you have non-brembro brakes then you can fit some 15" drag wheels such as welds and then slap on some DR's or ET streets and you'll be able to hook... atleast untill you break a half shaft

295/35-18 BFG Drag Radials, Nismo S-tune suspension (not TOO stiff...still plenty of suspension travel), traction bars, alignment tweaks in the rear.

I'm pretty sure I could still hook almost 100% with an agressive sport tire like a BFG KD or Toyo T1S, etc.

is it daily use or just for the drag-race?
Wasnt implying drag radials for a 19in tire. i keep a set of 300zx wheels for my drag radials. I run 255/50/16 M.T. drag radials and couldnt be happier. id recommend that size or 275/40/17's for us Z boys.
