Question Underdrive pulley's, Throttle Body questions.

Did a forum and Google search and didn't find much, I guess I am sort of reviving my initial thread. I have mod fever and almost zero patience. When you get that speed fever it's hard to control (at least for me.)

I am looking for some good bolt ons and can't find them.

Underdrive pulley's (all)

and a bigger throttle body, say 62mm? What is stock?

Would like to do the TB @ the same time I do the CAI (make sense?)

I'm striking out, checked ASP, AEM, Summit etc.

Unorthodox Racing lists an entire "SS" set including a cam shaft crank pully (I think the set has 3 or 4 pulley's) and they are the only one who list our car. They even have colors like blue and !red and they look sweet! Claiming from 8 to 37 bhp depending on how many you use so in real life I expect 5RWHP but better yet less engine wear and increased fuel efficency.

10 % off the SS kit right now too there!

Only problem it says TBA, argghhh.

Has anyone found any after market TB's or Pulley's yet?

If so please post where!

Also, does our car have a Tranny Cooler and if so how efficent is it? Good enough for hot summer night shifting?

That one says TBA too (To be anounced) it's the same manafacturer, Unorthodox.

They make a complete "SS" Kit.

Default Great Find

Thanks,

I wonder if "fits on" means the same as designed for, like the TBA ones?

Been trying to call them , it's busy.

Rdit,

Got through, they don't have them in stock yet, they are taking back orders for a waiting list.

Damn the wait!

I recieved the follwoing reply from UR today.

We are currently in the middle of prototyping but we should have parts
on
the shelf by April. We will most likely be taking pre-orders at a
special
discount starting in the next few weeks. Stay tuned to the web-site for
updates.

Thanks for your interest,
UR

Hmm, they have a "water pump" pulley listed.. Thats odd because the water pump runs off of a sproket on the timing chain(under the cover).

Thumbs up I recieved the follwoing reply from UR today.

Thanks for the time you put in to get us an update. I have been down this road before.
I am *not* giving out my CC# to be on a "list" for a part that isn't eben finished yet. April turns into May etc, come June they sell them local LOL.

This is only Jan!

To the other poster the TB is where the air goes into the enging just before the intake tube starts. Making it larger allows for more air intake, more air = more HP.

As for pulley's they simply are lighter and turn at a different speed (think physics) because they are smaller to free up horsepower. They are a good mod but must be done right to be effective and not screw up your car. Not something to take lightly.
On LSI 's the most important factor was that they were balanced properly.

Default thanks for the reply...

okay I understood your explanation but one thing came to my mind right away.. if a bigger TB means more power, why doesn't Nissan or Toyota or any car manufacturer put a bigger TB to begin with?? It shouldn't cost them so much more to make it big, right?
Again, please excuse my ignorance if I'm annyoing you guys with my silly questions.
