Question Aftermarket Tranny and Oil Cooler?

My LS1 had a pretty effecient tranny cooler but I added an aftermarlet oner 19,000 GVW one anyway (B&M)

I want to add an aftermarket tranny *and* oi* cooler for my Z.
Two different coolers.

Anyone looked into this yet, brand, part #'s dimensions, website and where they might fit?

Thanks!

Thumbs up Thanks

Did I read that right? $1218.00 USD? That's an ECU or manifold or something

I paid $44.00 for my LS1 cooler it worked on either tranny or as as oil cooler.

Anyone checked the service manual? Does our car have a tranny cooler at all?

Default Thanks VQ

I had no idea it had grown that fast.

I didn't recognize any tranny cooler dealers on there.

Most likely trans cooler is integral of the radiator.

I saw those sky high prices, too. If I had an AT, I'd get a standard type unit and plumb it myself. It is generally just finding the correct fittings to get a more standard one to work.

Default Probably what I will do

I noticed B&M makes a standard Sport Compact Import Universal One. Only matching would most likely be the rubber hose size like you said.

Thanks! Maybe I will call them, should be ok till summer.

Cool

No,

I don't drink and drive or Auto -X,

The occasional 1/4 mile is hard on my car but Auto -X is even harder on your car, suspension, tires, just about everything!

I like watching Auto-X but don't plan on doing it. I did a 40 sec with a big V8 FireHawk. That was enough for me.

www.i-m-racing.com

click on nissan, then 350z. I remember them having an oil cooler for a pretty good deal, so if you want you can take a browse of that site.

Default Going to that link now

Thanks in advance!

Edit Add,

$220.00 for the oil cooler without plumbing, $1250.00 for the tranny cooler.

Glad I went there though, I am slowly convincing myself that I want/need the Nismo Spoiler!

Appearance mods will be last though!

Well, if you're not doing either, I don't see a real need for the cooler. Get the spoiler instead =)

Arrow Easier said than done

My wife doesn't like the look of the spoiler and likes it even less when I spend money on my car. I am about 8k into mods on my car and she hasn't noticed anything yet except the stereo head untt and sub box, but this is to be expected because of my love for music. She saw the instructions to my Injen Intake and asked me "did you buy something new for your car" but I pretended I didn't hear her. The moment passed without me suffering any injuries.

She saw my Nitrous Parts list (dumb me) and about crapped and I told her "that is an old list" (I have had several different cars.)
It wasn't really a lie it was about a week old.

But that cat will be out of the bag soon enough because she will see the 4 switches in my car, she notices everything!

I also have plans for something very special for the bottle install where my amps are (let's just say it will be unique and people will freak!) Will have to wait for pics! I thought it up last night!

I need to pay off some bills before I do any obviuos mods like the spoiler or she will do the spouse delete mod.

I wouldn't doubt that Fluidyne has a trans cooler in the works!
