Default Cipher Diagnostic System - New Vehicle Application Update!

UPDATE!

The Cipher Diagnostics & Data System now supports 5 additional Nissan/Infiniti models. These models include the 02 Maxima SE, 06 Maxima SE, 06 Sentra S, 06 Armada, and 06 Murano SL. These new models have been fully tested and found to be compatible with the system.

We've also plugged into a 03 Sentra SER Spec-V and 03 FX35 without a hitch - full tests will be done on these models soon.

Refer to the Cipher Functionality Matrix here
for a complete list of supported vehicles and functions. Check back often for other new updates!

Cipher does connect and read all of the ECU Diagnostic functions do work on the 05' Xterra. The ABS and BCM functions have not been tested/confirmed yet.

Hope this helps,

Can you elaborate on what is included in ABS and BCM functions in regards to this unit?

Here is a link to our website http://www.alteredatmosphere.com/mm5...y_Code=350Z_EM, scroll down to the feature list and it shows what the "ABS" and "BCM" parameters are.

If it's not too much trouble, what about an '05 Armada? It should be very similar to the '05 Titan and '06 Armada...

Mike,
When using the Cipher what type of reading comes from the wide band o2 sensors? 0-5 volts? If so how would I convert it to air fuel mixture? Also when using the data logger will it log a direct air/fuel ratio or just the voltage.

Thanks

Cipher has the option to display AFR via a look up table that relates V to AFR. This look up table has to be calibrated for each vehicle using an accurate WB sensor before it can be used for tuning.

It looks like from your site that you need a laptop to do all the data logging. Any plans on integrating just a dongle to grab all the raw data on flash then download it to your laptop later? I don't know about trying to mount a laptop in my car for a track day... Also any plans to provide GPS or some other way to map the data to a track map? This would be the killer app to get me to bite on this product. Looks like a great system though!

It's in the works!
Can't say much more about it right now, but it's almost ready for production.

Flash drive or GPS mapping? Both hopefully! I can test it for you!

Flash drive is defiantly a possibility. The components are spec.ed out and being tested, but we’re not yet sure if it will make it into the released version (version 1 anyway).

Sounds good if the price is right. Any chance of getting track mapping? I have read about some other systems that can draw a map for you based on G sensors and other things to extrapolate what the course looks like in lieu of having GPS on board.

Wow, you're quick.
We've looked at making it talk to the DL-1 system to get GPS info, and G-sensor info for people w/o VDC, but there are no plans to make that happen any time soon (VDC cars can already log side G and deceleration G w/ Cipher). We're working on lots of cool stuff though
