On my way to DynoCOmp from Las Vegas, I did something to my tranny. I am basically stuck in 5th gear while the shifter is positioned in neutral. We are about to put her up on the rack to make sure it's not just the linkage from the shifter. My luck it will need a new tranny. Anyone know where I can find a used or new tranny? How much does it normally cost to beef up?

I am stuck here for the day while we figure this out so please cross your fingers for me.

Do you have forced induction - APS I'm assuming to drive to Dynocomp?

A buddy of mine had the exact same thing happen to him, only he was on his way to the local drag strip. He ended up getting a new clutch and tranny out of the deal. He is now working on his 3rd tranny and he ONLY has about 35k miles on the car.

 

I grew up next to Joshua Tree National Monument. 15 mile drive = more routes than I could ever climb. A whole lot of good dynos out there. Chalk up.

 

Good News:

Found a tranny in VA w/ 300 miles on it (listed in classifieds on here). Ordered JWT Clutch, SS Line, and Pilot Bushing to have installed at the same time. Hopefully all will be complete by Friday.

I dropped $2k for this incident
