Dyno #`s for several cars and an 03`Z with a couple mods.
I did my first dyno yesterday. A bunch of friends and I went to a place with a `dynodynamics` machine. Small rollers on that thing...
Here are some results:
Mid 90`s 3.0 or 3.2? M3 (rumored to have Schrick cams) = 206 hp
Loud as hell on the dyno. Huge intake tube. Quick through the gear on testing.
91` 300ZX (pretty much bone stock) = 180hp
Mid 90`s 200sx with VE motor swap (high perf. JDM motor w/ JWT computer, other mods) = 163 or 166hp. Choked by exhaust or stock manifold.
Early 90`s nx2000 with VE swap (headers, exhaust, and?) = 183. Nice power for an n/a 4cyl!
Early 90`s SER with t3/t4 , 3`` side exhaust, lots of mods = 237? (hotter on that day he tested a week ago. About 10lbs of boost)
My 03` Z (6sp, 5/16`` spacer, UR flywheel (stock clutch), JWt intake, Track rims) = 243 (corrected) peak from 6100-6300ish rpm. I like how the torque curve was above 200 ft/lb from 2800rpmish - where the graph starts- to 6350rpm. Torque maxed around 4500rpm - 4700rpm at 230ft/lb.
P.S Built up S-10 type pickup with skinnies on front, 350 with high-rise intake, big carb, heads, cam, ...wouldn`t dyno. Problems

My friend got 246 with his straight t3 91` SER (not t3/t4). .60 or.63 A/R
How is the VE not a 4cyl anymore? As I understand it (and see it underhood), it`s simply a hot 2.0l from JDM with some vtec-like high rpm switchover for the cams. Supposedly about 180-190 @ crank stock. Popular swap for the B13/b14 Sentras.

The other VE motor...
Not sure how many years it was made (perhaps more than 2 years):
From a F/S on the sr20forum:
ENGINE:
1997-1998 SR20VE Engine.
Sr20ve is a 1998cc DOHC engine. 10.5:1 comp.
SR20VE (NEO VVL) is nissans version of VTEC.
This engine made 195whp on a dynojet dyno about 2 months ago.
And a pic of what it is:

VQ, RB, SR, VE, VG ... since you can have a VQ30DE, VQ35DE, VQ30DD, VQ30DET, VG30DET, VG30DETT, VG30DE, SR20DE, SR20DET, SR20VE...
we don't go by the last two letters.. just the first two... i thought even other car makers did that too

I imagine most who care what motor was in the NX already knew what he meant.

he said the car had a VE swap... meaning engine swap... my thought would be a VE30DE Motor
