Default Should I lower the 350z?

When I got my CL TypeS I had no doubt in my mind it needed to be lowered an inch or two. But with the 350z it looks pretty low stock. Anyone have before and after pics? What options are out there for spring replacement?

I think it depends. With the stock 17" wheels, i think it could stand to be lowered a hair (definitely not even close to 2" though), but with the stock 18" wheels, it looks pretty well proportioned, and if you lowered it, I think it might not look very good. I think it depends on the wheels/tires you're using. I personally just don't like the look of a car that is lowered so the tires start to disappear under the wheel wells. Just doesn't look good to me.

I wish I could lower mine, but it wouldn't make it up my driveway if I did. I've got about 1" of clearance when I pull up now.

The Z has a low aggressive look. Get it any lower. You cant get over anything.

The front is 4.7", the rear is slighly taller. If you lower it look out for speed bumps. I am not interested in lowering mine. Anyone else can do what they wish.

Default Thats funny!

I used to be on A-CL.com. I sold my 2001 CL Type S for the Z. It seems like a lot of people are previous CL owners.

No don't do it. Your ride will suffer, you'll be scraping stuff, it's hard on stock shocks, etc, etc, etc

I plan to get adjustable suspension, hopefully it will help with the bounce the Z has. and when I go to the track, I can lower the car. but for normal driving, stock hieght is plenty low

Since you live in Houston I don't see you having an issue with the Snow like us Northerners do. Personaly I wouldn't lower the car. Leave it as is and enjoy.

I lowered mine ~ 8/10's of an inch with the Nismo S-tune suspension. I've run into some pretty hairy stop bumps and haven't scraped yet:

Raceboy's also lowered his with the S-tune:

SKiDaZZLe with Teins:

I think a few others have taken the plunge without speaking of any major concerns either.

Value-caraudio.com. Paid ~ $2400, but it likely will vary depending upon exchange rates(probably higher these days). You can contact valuetl on this booard via PM, or valuetl@yahoo.com for a direct quote.
