Default Broken pistons from tracking

So i was at the track today, then on the back straight, right when i shift from 2nd to 3rd gear i hear this metal sound from the engine, like metal and metal knocking on each other. I thought i the piston probably was gone so I stopped went back to the pit, the car stalled. I started it up again ( stupid idea) and again the pinging noise was there right when i started it up. I turned off my car right away. I'm going to take my intake and space/platium off tomorrow to get the stock stuff installed back then try to tow the car back to the dealer and try to get them to fix it from warranty( of course all of this little "accident" happened on the highway). My friend said he has a friend working at that dealer and everything should be ok. But if worst come to worst, if warrantly doesnt cover it, what should I plan to buy to rebuild the bottom end for NA purposes? I do have 10k-15k saved up for turbos but if warranty doesnt cover the damage, i'm am planning on going all out NA.

Broken piston? Could be anything, I'm thinking a rod went. But if you want to build your short block look up "350Zlover". He's done his N/A motor to the hilt and you should get some good info from him. Hopefully the dealer will take care of it but I like to here about N/A builds. Good luck whatever you end up doing.

not sure what went bad yet but certainly gonna be costy the car only has 8k miles too and was running pretty strong too. Shouldnt have been a miss-shift for it the first couple of laps of the day and i wasnt going fast, just trying to get into rymthm. Thanks for the advice with 350zlover, i'll look into it and see what i can get done over here in toronto.
