Default Aftermarket Auto Tranny

Are there any aftermarket auto tranny's on the market yet? I know the VB upgrade solves alot of problems but I'v been told for 550+ I'd need a complete rebuilt tranny or a stronger aftermarket tranny. Those of you with the 5AT and boost, how much hp are you running to your stock tranny?

Unlike dreamworks, SGP eventually DOES get the product finished. Give them a call and see where they are at with their fully built tranny. According to their site at http://sgpracing-store.stores.yahoo....praautrup.html
they're having the clutch packs and bands made, but that is an old update.

I read at freshalloy that helldorado is looking to use "Alto" clutch plates: http://forums.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=149710

Finally, pm ISMSOLUTIONS here or at g35driver because he has a custom rebuilt AT listed in his mods.

I was reading G35driver last night and came across a few searches of people who have rebuilt trannies, I need to register and account and find out who did their work.

I'm about to send my tranny off to SFR. They claim their modded Nissan A/T's can handle right at 1000 hp so let's put that to the test, shall we??
I'm now entertaining the idea of running a direct port dry nitrous system on my Kinetix SSV intake as soon as I determine IF my NX Maximizer can handle the job of tuning the setup. If not, I'll stay with my wet kit upstream of the throttle body but run bigger jets.
John Isbell & I kicked around the idea of a GM 4L80E behind the AEBS motor but I didn't really want to give up that fifth ( overdrive ) gear since my G WILL be a DD.

Will the 4l60e out of the y body vettes fit in the Z??? If I'm not mistaken the 4l80E is the hummer's tranny.

Level10 quoted me around $4000 for a fully built 5at. I think they said it was good for 600-800hp. Anyone on here tried them. I know alot of people didn't like their valve body...said it was like Stillens.

Question Not Sure

I'm not sure if it will swap but John's dealt with TCI before & his contacts there said they have an adapter for the VQ engine & the 4L80E. I originally wanted a 700R4 from a 'Vette but availability/adaptability made me reconsider the 4L80E.

BMac - I've had a L10 modded T/C & V/B behind my 450 hp nitrous'ed motor for almost 2 years & had NO problems at all! The shifts R slightly firmer @ WOT & the T/C launches the G definitely harder. Guess I've been luckier than most with Level 10.
