High oil useage with synthetics

ok... here is a link that has some good info it's not the one I was looking for, but I don't have time to find the other one right now.
Anyway Champion is the company that makes Mobil-1, Bosch, Proulator, and yep The $2 Wal-Mart Super Tech filter. The filter info is almost to the bottom of the page
*edit* forgot to add that the filter in the VQ35 is the same as the Yamaha R6 and I'm sure alot of the other Japanese Sport bikes. I used the Bosch 3323 which is the longer filter on my bike and my car last time I changed the oil
