I would be very interested, but I'm a little worried about install costs. I live in Southern california, the only place I know of that can install the 3.9's at a reasonable price is technosquare, but they quoted me around $500.
If I could get them installed for a good deal less than that, I'd be all over this. I might still be either way. Anyone have a recommendation?

Thats not true. I think ppl with FI would need it more. The 3.9 will allow u to accelerate fast meaning u're rpm wont drop as low and getting full boost faster. The only down fall i see with turbo and 3.9 is the low end tq might be too great to get traction. Turbo ppl might not have traction so will have to either adjust their boost controller to not see full boost so early or feather the pedal.

I think this will be best bang for superchargers bc they have low end tq so traction isnt an issue and u accelerate faster to max psi level.

not true pharmd ...the turbo guys want to hold boost longer so they would want a taller gear....more shifting means lower rpms...which means lower boost.

im not sure bout the s/c guys being as they are almost always under boost

Just a shot in the dark here, but it seems like this mod would work better for FI cars using a centrifugal (sp) supercharger, one that builds boost exponentially. The gears would allow you you to get into useful boost sooner. For turbos and roots style blowers you just spin your tires in first.
I'm building an N/A machine, so it's my secret weapon.
Did anyone actually order the gears?
Last time I talked to matt, only a couple people had ordered them- despite 16 people being interested.
Mr Pharm D- is that you Scary Don?
