Is the above statement accurate/true? I would love to know if those manufacture dates are correct, as mine was made in June '06. Anyone have any info on this?

How can you find the manufacturing date. I bought my car in early April but don't know the date.

Build date (mm/yyyy) is shown on the data plate inside the driver's door frame.

A lot of the problems you guys are having with 06 models are happening with all models, mine is an 03 and is burning oil so bad i dont need much gas anymore.
I know some 05's and 04's that have been doing the same thing so it makes me wonder if its the batch of blocks they are using since there isnt much difference in the blocks/heads on any of the Z's just the intakes right?

I'm too lazy to look at the internal changes on the new HR motor in the 07 but did they change/upgrade the parts related to the oil consumption that the previous models are having? Improperly seated rings or something along those lines right?
Peace!

I have a 2003 and never have added any oil between oil changes in 36K. It has always stayed on the full mark and Nissan confirms that when they change it. Why would some engines burn so much oil? Is it the way they are driven? I do change the oil every 3k miles.

I doubt they will give you issues or those mods, its an intake and
a spacer its not like either would give a valid reason for your car burning oil.
I have on '06 Base and I am starting to worry lol this sucks Shiat!! I also
have and intake and AAM spacer.

I'm pulling all my mods as we speak before I take my car in. I know my mods didn't cause my problems but I don't want the dealership to have any leverage over me when I take my car in.

Seriously tough, they should not give you any issues on those.

They just do not want to deal with this (or any other major) issue, IMHO.

Don't assume anything

Check your dipstick, and look at your odomoter.

The you will know.

FWIW, it seems tht only '06 models are affected.

Assume (Ie. ***-u-me) makes an *** out of u and me. You need to actually check it for yourself regularly to truely know what's going on.

Also, it's not just the '06s that are affected. It seems to be the Rev-up engines in particular. The Rev-up engines were installed in the '05 MT and '06 MT. The AT's don't have the Rev-up (they have the older DE 287hp) and have not been affected. The '05-'06 Rev-up was the precursor to the '07 HR. We'll see if the HR is any better.

Peace!

I hope not!!! I got rid of a really nice car (2003 S2000) and I would hate it if I ended up having this problem!!! I will have a lawyer up in Nissan's *** if I encounter this!
