hopefully this will help you understand why timing is important, timing is exactly when you spark plug fires. as you can see if it is advanced, (sooner) then it could put some serious stress on the rods. this is why most people blow thier engines, too much timing.

 

i think it's a great tool to show my gf how it works, it's so hard to use hand gestures and my drawing skills are lacking. now i need a moving diagram of how a turbo works, then maybe she'll be more understanding when i talk about getting a kit!!
