Default Price of auto tranny fluid change at dealership

Anyone here have their auto tranny fluid changed recently from the dealership? How much was it? It's about time for me to change the fluid out and I don't feel like putting the car up on stands again.

Mine was in the $130-$150 range......don't recall the exact number.

Have you done this previously???
I am interested on your experience of how to fully drain the tranny prior to pouring in new stuff.

Well, I used OEM Nissan J-matic fluid and those retail ~$12/qt. I needed 16qt for a full flush. I had a friend and he was able to get me those for $6/qt.

PLus the cost to flush it at a friend's shop was $60.

FYI, Infiniti Dealership quoted me ~$300 for a full job.

However, some Nissan and Infiniti dealers are going to use the new BG's Tranny Fluid to replace their expensive OEM line and should be able to knock the Dealer's price to sub $200. Those BG only cost ~$3-$4/qt (retail).

However, the manual recommends OEM and I'll stick with that.

I've tried to do this myself at my brother's shop, and I can almost justify 300$ cost... It is impossible to drain old ATF without removing the AT pan, and as difficult to pour-in the new stuff (the only way I found is through ATF level meter hose, which is very narrow).

The BG machine uses the AT internal pump pressure to force out ATF while filling the other side of bladder with the old .....self regulating.....1 old quart in, 1 new quart out or multiples thereof...........accurate within 4-8 ounces in 10 quarts.

You loop BG system between in radiater cooler lines.

The correct tools always make any job easier.

Can you elaborate on the BG machine? Is it possible to rent/buy it somewhere?
