Ground On The Exaust?

I was in the process of taking off my exaust and as i was taking the bolts off the bracket i noticed there was some sort of ground that was connected to one of the bolts. Does anyone know what that is for.

Its Jay from Saturday... The ground could be for the 02 sensor... I'll have my car on the lift this weekend so I'll let you know. I have a pic from the track if you want it, send me your email address...
