Default Anyone Running Methanol Injection

Hey guys I did a search on this, but didn't really find what I was looking for, so:

Are any of you running Methanol Injection? I see some of you are running it with F/I, or with nitrous, but how about just the meth kit alone?

A few of my buddies use it, with great results, and I'm really considering the possibilies here, but they have turbo setups so it's a bit different.

Any input? Any one have experience with this? If so what kit are you using and what kind of power does it make?

There are those here who have meth kits, they are boosted.

Don't know of anyone running meth alone, and alone it does not make any additional power... Meth is not nitrous, water injection helps to cool and add additional fuel that would allow one to turn the boost up or advance timing... Kinda another way in using a "higher octane fuel".

Try a google or yahoo search, then you will find companies like Snow Performance who have FAQ pages with more information.

I thought it was for FI cars too. It works sort of like an intercooler. I have a friend who just installed a methanol kit on his 1977 280Z with an aftermarket turbo. After he installed it he was able to advance the timing.
