just curious, for everyone that has an automatic transmission (which i do), are yall doing alot of performance mods? how much abuse or power can this transmission take? just wondering if I made a mistake..... hmmm..

Here we go again....
Let's see how long it takes for the idiots to show up.
The MT and the AT performance is about equal. You can pretty much put the same mods that you could put on the MT on to the AT. The most obvious difference being actual transmission mods. The AT has it's own set of tranny mods and the MT has it's own set of tranny mods. The Nissan 5AT can take quite bit of abuse. It's well built can it protect itself from most stupid things that the driver might do or "events" that the driver might claim wasn't his fault. If you go FI, turbocharging actually works better on an AT because you can pre-load the turbos or minimize spool time with a torque converter.
