Default quick final drive swap help

Hi all,

I know I am being a lazy **** on this. I did some searches and reading on it, but I just want to double check before I pull the trigger.

I am looking to replace my 04' 5AT 3.3 fd w/ a 3.5 fd from a '04 6MT touring. I just need the gear and pinion right? No messing w/ the pumpkin and lsd or anything?

Thanks in advance

replace the whole pumpkin, dont just try and swap the internals cause it wont work.the 3.5mt pumpkin has larger gears then the 3.3at rear.swapping the pumpkin is easy, you can do it on jack stands.

sorry guys, kind of newbie in mechanics. What do you call the pumpking, I am trying to translate to spanish, but something here doesnt match. Is the gears in the trans. or are the gears of the differential? also, should I change the full assembly of the differential or what? please understand the translation in spanish is not the same. Please help!

Thank you in advanced!

I just swapped my A/T 3.3 FD to an M/T 3.5 FD. I had to do the entire pumpkin and it was a straight swap.
