Question 350z tt out soon

was at the dealer yesterday to look at the 350z and saw the max. went on a test drivein the max not 350z and I must say that car was fast they say it had 265 hp to the wheel it was a 6sd but on the test drive I was talking to the sales guy about the 350z and he say the there is a 350z tt cooming out in 2005 with about 400hp, he also siad to take a look at the serv. manual there is a part about turbo in it (not that no one has not notice) he said that one guy came and put a deposit and had them order it for him, he also said that the skyline will be here in 2004 if not 2005 not much info on that. but I never got to test drive the car that i came for the dammm Z, got a call from mitsu. that the evo was there and that they got 3 of them and one was already sold. dam car is sweet which one should I get 350z, or the evo. my thing is that only 5000 evo is going to be sold in NA this year, and if what the dealer said is true then want to get the evo now and then get the 350z tt when it comes out help me with this.

This misinformation is about as old as the hills. If Nissan releases the Skylne GTR with infinity, they would have no need to have a redundant cheaper offering in a 350ZTT. Turbo is quite unlikely in the Z. Current Skyline prototypes have been testing our VQ35 engine with a twin turbo configuration, or the 4.5 liter V8 that is in the Q and FX45. I wouldn't bet on a turbo version due to a 1 page disclaimer blurb in my owners manual. Nissan would be fools to again set up 2 tiers of Z performance. In the 300ZX, Z32, the N/A were dogs and the TT were bloated muscle cars. They would however be very smart to offer a very reliable N/A motor and then market lots of warrateed Nismo performance parts that would make the Z33 into a hot street performance car.

No offense to Kurt, as he is just repeating info given to him by a dealer employee that should know better, but something needs to be said. The sheer amount of "my dealer said________ <---- insert rediculous claim here" type posts was annoying over a year ago, now it is just getting extremely old. We need a sticky or note at the top of the performance forum labeled "ALL newbies read (dealer missinformation)" It should include a few examples of dumbass claims like "500hp naturally aspirated Nismo edition Z to be released in 200x" It should explain that dealer claims should be taken with a grain of salt, and if they choose to ignore the warning, prepare to be flamed! If a moderator will set this up I volunteer to write the post. I think this may reduce the amount of BS we wade through on a daily basis, and if not, woohoo FLAME ON!

On second thought we already have allot of stickys at the top. Maybe we could combine the bottom four notes into one labeled "resources" or something before we put another one up. Mods: Let me know if I can help.
