Its not a question of what the best LSD is, but what the best one is for you. Do you have a 5AT, 6MT, VLSD, open diff? What kind of driving do you plan on doing, what maintenance levels are you willing to undertake and how much you're willing to spend for the unit, install and to maintain it?

Without knowing any of that, no way to give you a useful suggestion.

Quaife, Nismo, and research what your buying first.

The best, happens to be the most expensive. Either ATS Carbon, or the Quaife (easier if you have an open diff car). Cusco is less expensive, but a little bit grabbier, and Nismo is the least expensive, but terribly grabby for road use. We have them all on our website, if you care to take a look: www.forgedperformance.com/store

I love my Quaife. I had one on my Maxima, too.

Sharif can fix you up.

For most people, the stock LSD is more than enough. Unless you are a big racer or drifter, I'd think about spending the cash elsewhere.

On a base model, go with the Quaife. One of the best performers and will be an easy drop in for your base pumpkin. Only maintenance it requires is oil changes. Its the most expensive, but you said cost isn't an issues. Search on Quaife and you'll find a lot of the other info I've written on it in previous threads.

Once you've had the ability to drive in a vehicle that is equipped with a unit like the Quaife or ATS, you'd probably change your mind. They make a phenomenal improvement in the capabilities of the vehicle, even on the street.

I can't say I totally agree on that. While it does make some improvements, it also creates some headaches. I had the Cusco in my last car. I'd say that you just have to decide what you really need/want.

Stock LSD sucks for dragging, it peg legs first 2-3 seconds on the burnout and hard launches get you sideways some. I dont drag enough to justify spending $1000+ on an LSD though...
