how to change park plugs?
I've looked around and can't find a step-by-step guide or any instructions... I've done a lot of engine work but never spark plugs and I really don't want to F up the electrical system... I already have a set of NGK LFR5AIX-11s to install, I don't have to gap/modify anything with these before installing do I? If I do, how do I do it?

You don't need to gap iridiums or platinum, but copper you can gap. The plugs aren't too difficult too replace. The three plugs on the passenger side are more difficult than the drivers side. Make sure to torque it to specs because you don't want to break the end, then you'll have to open the cylinder head to take it off. Good luck.
also before removing them take a can of that compressed air that you use for computers and blow out each hole. this will help keep any debris that may be around the plug from going into the engine. also it helps to have a good spark plug socket and get some adjustable elbow joints for those tight spots.

it's looks harder than it is to change spark plugs on the Z (I had been used to working on my '91 miata - 10 mintues to swap out plugs) ... you'll have to remove some of the plastic peices - it took me about 1 hr change them my first time.

The passenger side has a small bracket for the middle spark plug which is sorta difficult if you have big hands like me. Other than that, it should be quite easy. Oh and the drivers side #6 towards the firewall is a tough one as well, another bracket by the coil pack.

If you dont have the rubber thing in you socket, stick some paper towel in there it will keep the spark plug from falling off the socket. Pretty easy 45 minutes to hour should be all it takes even for a newb like me.
Yeah I tried to change my plugs last week and had to stop after I removed the engine cover. It looked like I had to remove all the wires/cables to get to the coil pack. Are you guys just moving them aside to get to the coil packs or cutting the plastic ties too? I only had 30 mins to work on the car that day so I had to stop. Any advice??

no need to cut the ties - I ether disconnected the wiring bundles mounts from the engine to give myself a few more inches to play with...you shouldn't have to cut anything.
