Default Oil Drain Valve anyone?

I was wondering if someone had installed an oil drain valve on their Z before?

I did one on my Eclipse. It worked like shiat. It was the Fram valve kit.

I'm gonna install fumoto .... I had it on my rx8 it worked great

i have a fumoto, make time for about 20 mins for your oil to drain...a little faster if its hot

I've got one and have been using it for the last six months with no trouble. How does yours not work?

Wth is an oil drain valve, are you to lazy to take the bolt out of the oil pan?

Been thinking about getting one of these. Can you attach a tube to it or something to direct the flow where you want it? I have the GT-Spec front lower tie bar and it sits practically right under the drain bolt; getting it off and on won't be as easy as it used to and the oil will prob go all over the bar.

Fumoto sells one with the nipple(its the one where you can attach a tube) but the one I'm installing is w/o the nipple.

I'm not lazy its just convenient to just open and close rather than unscrew and screw back.

It's a lot more convenient to change oil without busting out tools.

there is just no way a rock can knock it open.... because with the fumoto valve I'm not sure if all valve are the same but the fumoto you would have to push up and turn counterclockwise.

also fumoto was authorized by nissan for their design, there is no way you could have debris can hit it since you have to push up and over to turn the valve open, also it keeps oil change monkeys from stripping the oil drain plug

I have the Fram sure drain and never found a trace of leaks, the hose that comes with it goes directly to the oil pan, which makes for a very clean saturday. Its still a ***** removing the diffuser just to get to the oil filer. I go with a K&N filter since it has a 1" bolt on the side which makes for an easy remove.

I got the fumoto about a year ago, I got it because I didn't want the wear and tear on the threads of the PE alumium oil pan, as I change oil every 3k or so. Well, I told my friend the Infinity mechanic, and he said, those things always leak.

Well, mine is not leaking, works as advertised, great convience item.

I have one as well, no leaks, perfect fitment. Fumoto has great service too
