ITR#203- well said. You detailed part of what I I have been saying. I sacrificed the performance the EVO8 has to offer to be driving a great car that looks awesome.

Yes the whole "if I added a turbo I would hand it's ***" argument is stupid.

I used to hear that when I would race some Hondas with swaps and I would win (don't flame me ITR#203, it's just an example). The next thing I would hear was "wait till I add a turbo, I'm gonna smoke you". It's stupid.

...or if I lost a race to a C5 or a Rustang with juice in my turbocharged Eclipse, I'd sound like an idiot if I said, "well if I had NOS, I'd spank you".

I would love to see the Z with some turbos and I hope it puts down some nice power, but trust me, a factory turbocharged Mitsu EVO has the advantage right now: lower compression.

Oh, well. It's still ugly!

To be clear, an Evo does not cost $40k, it costs $32k+ttl nicely optioned.

That is right in the avg price of our cars.

The Evo can be found for MSRP, just like the Z was at launch.

Pruvenperformancer.com has nothing but SAE Corrected horsepower numbers. And whats with a straight tube? Our homeboy webcarconnection is running a 13.6 and still passes emissions.

Well said. As far as personal preference goes, it's not just about looks. Some people really want to have a RWD car. With that said, the evo is a great car. I'll take my Z, however.

You can call my arguement stupid if you want. I was merely pointing out that the comparison is between two unequally priced cars. And after I read another post, it said the MSRP was 32K+ (which I was unaware of). We all make mistakes.

HOWEVER, I made the arguement in the first place because wether it's stock or not, it has a god damned turbo charger. So you're comparing a car with a turbo to a N/A car. I think you're arguement SUCKS for comparing the two to begin with. You can throw a turbo on anything and go "wow, it's fast". Big ****ing deal. The stock evo isn't that much faster than the stock Z to begin with. Lets turbocharge a ford escort shall we? If you're going to compare apples and oranges, then don't complain when someone gives you an "if" argument. ok?

lets look at these on a slower scale
i useto have an RSX and my friend still has a WRX
wed race ALL the time
i only had a chance on the freeway because at 90+ my car accelarates faster
rally cars are meant to accelerate quick because they are constantly coming out of a turn our cars are meant to have more top end. the evo is meant to be faster then our car, if it really bugs you change your gearing, i dont know enough about transmissions to say what to change but i know a closer gear ratio will help acceleration

My previous post was simply in defense of my argument. I don't care it the EVO is faster. I was simply saying if we had a turbo, our would be faster. Why did I say if? Well, why compare a turbo to a n/a car? That's why. End of story.
