As far as stero grounds i always ground my deck and amp to a diffrent spot, ground wires on them should not be over 24 inches long. You want them as short as possible. If the deck and amps are cutting in and out it could mean you need a bigger gauge power wire.

I am not sure about the grounds on the amps. It was a professional install. The power wires are 4 gauge. I bought a nice wire setup for the stall. This problem did not exist before they pulled out my motor and put it back in. It's been the same problem ever since with several EMS etc etc...

You could be right on the coil packs but I can't help but think that all this is related so the same thing.

If not coil packs then check the crank angle sensor. Sometimes these need shielding around the wires. On the nissan 240sx they have to be shielded sometimes.

I've read others having the same symptoms of the coil packs working then not working then working again.

Okay, will do. I talked with the shop today and it seems that alt and coil packs would be the two issues at hand. I did not realize just how much the V-Pro overrides and negates. The limp mode issue is not realistic for this reason. It has to be spark (fire), the other one, fuel is good, and the rest is covered/overrided by the V-Pro.

I still have a crap load to learn about this stuff. It is good to know that the shop and some of you guys that have been through some of the challenges are here to assist guys like myself that are old hp guys. I am only 35 but it has all changed. The shop is on it and should be in there next week to get this stuff analyzed and resolved. Thanks for all the responses and help. Good forum for this stuff...
