Forget the turbocharger and supercharger . . . get the popcharger. It is much cheaper and will yield the largest gains in hp & tq. Even better than the popcharger is the turbonator.

I agree....my buddy has a turbo on his z and he used to kill me. I put two turbonators back to back in my intake tube and now all he sees is my tail lights.

superchargers and turbochargers are extreme performance upgrades to your car and cost thousands of dollars. Pop charger costs a couple of hundred dollars and is a way to improve the air intake of your car

Turbo and superchargers cost thousands of dollars and are a form of forced induction. A popcharger is just a short ram intake that gives you like 6.5 hp. Just google it and you'll find everything you should know.

Superchargers and turbochagers both work by compressing the air/fuel mixture before it goes into the combustion chamber. This compressed mixture is measured in PSI (pounds per square inch) of pressure. A "boost" of 7 psi is typical for most forced induction vehicles. This will give you around 70-90 hp gain. (someone will correct me I'm sure if I'm wrong)

A supercharger works off of a belt connected to the crankshaft, which in turns rotates the compressor. This can rob the engine of some of it's power since the crankshaft has to turn the compressor.

A turbocharger works off of flowing exhaust gas which rotates the compressor. This is basically "free" power however the "boost" doesn't usually come on as quick as a supercharger since the engine has to produce some power to make boost. Hence the term "turbolag".

Both superchargers and turbocharges are fairly expensive and not for the faint of heart to install by themselves. They can also damage your engine internals if not installed properly or if the boost is turned up too high.

A popcharger is simply a device which allows a bit more air into the engine, producing modest hp gains of 4-5 hp. You can install one in 15 minutes.
