Spark Plugs
I just purchased the NGK Iridium spark plugs. What is the gap that these need to be set at? I just starting installing them and realized that I need this information. Thanks.

Specs call for .043 and I like running them a little tighter for everyday----He's running N/A so actually .038 wouldnt be bad, just not quite so much "flash"
Keep in mind , that to a point , the larger the gap , the more of an explosive flash u get because the plug is demanding it in order to make that "jump" from electrode to Ground. But u are also working ur Coils harder
Keep in mind also that with NGKs the larger the # the COLDER the plug

Course , It doesnt hurt to gap the plugs u take out to get an idea of what they wre gapped at ---If they are plats or irids it will be pretty close to get an idea ---And also compare the #s to see if they had gone hotter or colder
Also chk color of the old ones---The plugs are the eyes to the soul of ur motor

Have you actually used your 50 shot? When I installed my kit I did one run with a 75 shot and turned right back around for the 100 shot...then back for the 125 shot...then back for the 150 shot, lol! Go 100 shot unless you have a utec or something to take out timing, then go bigger.
Okay this is what I have. I have the r5671a-8 ngk plugs. The male threaded area is shorter than the ones that were in the car. The ones that were in the car are plfr4a. So basically the plugs i was given aren't going to work. What is the part number that i need for one step colder. Also, I will be running the 100 shot when my aem cai gets here.

PLFR6A-11 Colder
PLFR4A-11 Hotter
Iridium IX LFR5AIX-11 Standard
LFR6AIX-11 Colder
LFR4AIX-11 Hotter
Havent a clue what the R5671A-8 is, Take them back and find out, and if they screwed up, shove them up their ***. Mistakes Blow Motors. And the idiots need to be accountable.
And in that vain, It wouldnt hurt to chk MY numbers, although, those are the numbers I use with success. Good practice to Verify-Verify-Verify
Napa in Seguin, that I have used for 12 years, has a staff of 4 that have been there for those 12 yrs plus with extensive knowledge. Scott,Don,Albert,Greg
Scott is best with the NGKs--Call cuz they are usually special order but if u call early u can get them that day
