Default Clutch click on release of pedal

My '05 Z Roadster has a clutch noise problem. When I release the clutch pedal it makes a clicking noise. Anyone had this problem before? Any fixes before I have the dealer replace the whole clutch mechanism? Thanks in advance for your help.

It might be your rear axle, check the TSBs.

If its like a light popping sound it will wear away with time. I had the sound from around 4k-10k and now its gone.

Do a little search and you will find a gazillion posts on this topic. My car did the same thing and the dealer "grease" something up for me and it went away for like 1k miles. It came back again and now I just turned up the radio and ignore it.

That clicking noise is most likely your throw-out bearing on the clutch. I have the same problem with my car but i ignore it until i change my clutch because replacing your throw-out bearing you might as well replace the clutch cuz your doing a lot of work.

It was my clutch pedal assembly under the dash that needed a little grease. Fixed.

Where exactly did you grease it? I have the same click which I think is coming from the spring in the pedal assembly.

Thanks.

where did you grease the pedal assembly? my clutch pedal sticks about an inch from the top of fully disengaged. I can lift it up the rest of the way with my toes though.. I'm wondering if there is a spring or something that is sticking underneatch the dash...

My clutch started clicking at about 50k, dealer said nothing they could do. Then at about 70k is started to squeak like an old bed. I couldn't deal with it anymore so the dealer greased it up for $40 and it was gone. For atleast 200 miles, now its back again. Any thoughts...
