This is the wrong way to go!!
Get the D-Wolf Clutch kit and solve your pedal travel issues the right way.

I just did this again after getting a new tranny a while back and man it feels good to have it done again. I cant see how it would affect your clutch, as long as you are fully disengaging the clutch when the peddle is depressed then it should be fine. My engagement is about an inch off the floor now and its instant, the gears shift just as smooth as before.

DOES ANYONES CLUTCH PEDAL STICK ABOUT AN INCH FROM THE TOP OF IT'S TRAVEL? You can pull it up with your toes, but it seems to stick sometimes.. What is the problem? -This has happened with my stock clutch/flywheel as well as my upgraded clutch/flywheel.

Your threaded rod at the clevis attached to the clutch pedal needs to be adjusted back to stock specifications. After doing that the clutch will not stick but the engagement pont will be much higher than it is right now.
Install the D-Wolf clutch kit to fix the engagement height problem.

Happens to me randomly every once a while when driving hard. Doesn't bug me too much.

Anyone know how to adjust back to stock? I didn't mark mine, I just turned it until it was even with the brake pedal. I'm thinking about getting D-Wolf mod.

Adjusting back to stock is a "mikey likes it" type thing. The pedal should easily snap back up all the time.

I have the ACT HDSS clutch kit. The sticking cluth pedal thing has been going on since I bought the car, before I put the aftermarkt clutch kit on. It had 7k miles. What is the D-Wolf clutch kit?

The sticking clutch pedal is usually related to improper adjustment of the threaded clevis rod. Adjusting the threaded clevis rod gave you that nice clutch feel but it caused the sticking problem. The D-Wolf kit allows you to adjust the threaded rod abck to stock position while still retaining the nice clutch feel.

Well as it turns out my clutch is now slipping. It's driveable, but anytime you want to punch it I notice the RPMS jump were the car doesnt. . Now I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get a nice clutch setup. Any reccomendations? SEARCH Yeah no ****! I will get the DWolf Clutch kit to go along with my new Clutch. I'd like to do this install myself, any DIY for this out there?

Don't lower too far, or the cruise control won't engage.

Just got this mod done and man~ what a difference

I can get into any gears so I think disengagement is not an issue.
To make sure I get the full engagement, I launched the car and it basically spun the wheels for about the same duration before the mod. So can I safely assume that I get the full engagement???
I turned the rod 3 times...

Back when I used to own a 6spd TSX, I had similar problem with the clutch pedal travel distance. I modified it, and it worked great for several months. After a some time I started to notice all kind of problems. I set it back to stock and learned how to shift without flooring the pedal. Once I got used to it, it was pretty easy.

Same deal with my 04 350Z, I can shift pretty fast without flooring the pedal. With the stock setup, If I floor the clutch pedal, It's really rough and slow. And if I only press it just past the engagement point then shift, It's really smooth and fast. I adjusted the seat further back until I can fully extend my leg with the clutch pedal pressed just past the engagement point. So everytime I wanted to shift fast, I only needed to make sure my leg was fully extended. This method worked well for me, but it may not for others.

i noticed this too, but I really think you will run into pre-mature wear problems by not depressing to full disengagement. Granted, it is past engagement, but there is proabably still rubbing.

Granted, IM not saying that the 'mod' in this thread is a BETTER alternative however, I refuse to beleive that I can't depress the clutch all the way in order to shift smoothly. I've driven countless other cars before where I could go all the way to floor and still shift smoother than some of the new automatics

I was having issues with my clutch. This thread got me through it without having to waste a day taking it to the shop and paying someone to fix it. For this I salute you. Thanks. Jason
