Second I'm not understanding how you only gained 9whp from; TP, Cat-back, Spacer, Intake, and whatever drivetrain you did.
I would expect at least 15-25whp from what you done. You might need to get a tune to get the best power out of everything.

Question for ya': Do you think a Utec would increase my power enough to justify the cost of purchasing it? How much power gain would you say I'm looking at with the Utec?

As far as the UTEC, it more than just added power. Speaking for myself after my mods my motor was running dangerously lean. Please take into consideration though I'm at 5k+ feet elevation. However it is alway good to tune to have a safe running motor. That is the number one reason I purchased my UTEC. The plus to tuning to have a safe motor is freeing up hidden HP. Now my peak numbers didn't go up at much as I wanted but my mid-range went up between 5-10whp/wtq! Plus with owning the VQ35DE I raised the rev limit to 7k vs the 6800 stock. I'm sure once I get a full cat-back my peak number will go up. All-in-all... YES! The UTEC purchase & tune is worth the cost.

well some good news: I just raced a modified mini S that i used to race when i was stock barely pulling half a car in fifth gear. This time i pulled on him more than five cars from third all the way to sixth. he stopped me and said, that car is running much better. the difference is noticeable.

Good to hear that your car seems to be pulling better, but I'd be careful with anything related to street racing right now, people are on a witch hunt!
