I am at about 1500 miles on my 07. I am changeing my oil to mobile 1 synthetic before I start to really get on it. Anywho, K&N's book does not show a part ## for the 07. Is it safe to assume I can use the 03-06 filter?

not sure but since its the hr motor i doubt it will work.... so i would go get a oem oil filter for now

 

Why are you using synthetics already? You might want to wait a while to make sure the piston rings seat properly with conventional oils.

+1 on waiting. i think you're supposed to wait till at least 3000 miles. And or till after your second oil change.

 

I waited until 10,000 miles before switching over to synthetic oil. So, the seals can seat properly.

 

Thanks guys. I was deabting if i should use synthetic or not. I wrote that hoping someones would bring it up and you guys did , Thanks! Is it ok to let that oil sit for months? Or should I return it?

 

I just changed my last conventional oil change at 17000 miles. My next one will be synthetic. I have a habit of changing at ~20k miles
