Your best bet is vacuum formed plastic... you could use the oem hood to make a mold. It wouldn't stand up to driving, but it would work for display purposes.

Please, don't do it. Just leave the hood open or off.

I'll try to shoot them today, but I doubt they will be sent until Monday. We're running late for a track day.

I was kidding buddy......just a joke

As i said this delay wasn't hinson's fault at all.....we were waiting for parts promised by sponsors that never arrived....i do agree that 6 months does suck but hell they are back on the car again.....hinson is not to blame and she will be back in my posession in no time....

It's just that the clear hood thing's been done. It was a fad in the late 90's and has moved on to where old fads go.

I don't get it. Why do all this other stuff? And the tremendous extra cost that goes with it? The Z is very sweet as it is, let the motor speak for itself. Just IMHO. But, I guess if you are going to SEMA then you *have* to go large or don't go at all, huh?

Me, if Hinson made a kit for this swap and I had the bankroll to float it, I'd go sleeper or strip out the interior, go full rollcage and do some NASA Time Attacks or definately hit as many DE tracks as I could.

Can't wait for Monday...
