Hardly stocking. Instead of saying his is probably doing this or doing that, and speculating like everyone else, I checked to see when was the last time he was on the forum. If he hadn't logged on in days or weeks then that would explain why he hadn't replied, but he has activity from today and for some reason is not responding to this thread.

 

Hope he didn't give up.

Completely forgot to update this thread.....i asked for pics and should have some posted ASAP...i will not have time to drive the car before sema tho....i still have quite a bit left to do for the show...brakes, suspension, wheels, body kit, paint, stereo and interior etc......i PROMISE MORE PICS this WEEK!!!!


I honestly forget I even own this car sometimes....6 months is a hell of a time to wait....but sponsorsed eff'd me and broke deals, reneged and I had to come up with more cash then originally anticipated....that has been the hold up....we all know these projects cost more than originally anticipated

 

Who were the would be sponsors?

 

I would rather not say and burn bridges...but after me sending them a Co_AP bill for the advertising space they would have received at sema they not-so-polietly told me that I should go f*ck myself.....so basically I was $7K short ($ and parts) from finishing the car....i have eaten hot dogs or Peatnut butter and jelly for lunch just about every damn day.....needless to say i have been able to pay and the project is back on schedule.....as soon as i get my new pics I will post them up....oh yea...that wasn't the only $ problem....i would get into details but I am not one to air my dirty laundry!!!

 

Man...... Did you get anything on paper saying they would pay? Most people are so f-ing rude say on thing and do another.

 

these people weren't my only problem....I am stilled owed $ from parts I sold....let's just say i have been taking it like an inmate........Hinson has been helpful throught the entire ordeal and i hope i get some seat time before SEMA....but if not I promise i'll give joy rides in NYC and people can write their own reviews....also if anyone has a hook up with shipping I need to get my car to SEMA...and some quotes have just been rediculous ($3K each way from NY to Vegas)

 

If it is driveable I will drive it up there. All I ask for is a place to stay for the night and a rental car to drive me home. Plus I could brake her in for yah at crusing speeds(no more than 10 over the speed limit cause I dont need to be paying for the increase in rates for the next three years). Let me know if you want me to do this for you(by the way I am 27/28 in Jan. and I manage an insurance company here in Ga), if not I could see what the company my father uses charges(they get great rates).

 

I really want the car trailored as it will be a show car and slammed to teh ground for SEMA...but thank you for the offer

I was just thinking that, and it is about 1100 miles to vegas. I asked my pops to see how much it would be to trailer from Alabama to vegas and he said he would check with there driver. When do you need the car in Vegas?

Thnx dude......that is if I don't owen wilson myself sometime before I get it back....

 

Let me see what I can do? I will keep you informed. They have two transports, one covered(a little more expensive) and one open trailer(I think you could put a car cover on and the paint should be fine), but that is up to you. I will try and get prices on both.

So, which display will it be in? Or will it be out front? Does Hinson have a display?

 

As of now the car is a featured vehicle and will be in one of the halls but not directly in a booth ( i am in talks with a few companies but nothing has been solidified yet). I am working on making a one-off hood with a clear plexi center to show off the V8 and what not....
