Default Car died out while driving.

Has anyone has any issue with their car randomly shutting off while driving? I finally took my car out after a couple months of winter hibernation and drove it for the 3rd night today. Was raining and i just stepped on it a bit, traction came on on then a second or two later, the car just died out. Dash lights went out, audio was still on though. Started the car again and everything was fine. Tried to mimic the problem by trying to get traction control on again but then it was fine.

thanks in advance

it happen to me 2 times in a week period about 8 months ago, never happened again, both times I had jusy come out of gear on the highway. rather than the RPMs staying at idel, they dipped too low and stalled.

I was accelerating though with stock clutch/flywheel. My only engine mod is motordyne lower plenum + spacer and an intake. I was on the gas the whole time when it happened. Would hate it if the car died out while going through a turn, or something is wrong with the engine. I already blew an engine last year because of oil consumption.

Damn doesnt sound so good. Must be scary. Should deff take it to the stealership. Maybe your mods and hibernating have something to do with it? Maybe bad gasoline?

^^ if you are racing at high speed and miss a shift, or hit the brakes and the clutch together slowing down from high speed...

and yes, with the intake my car shuts off once in a blue moon also (maybe 3 times in the last 2 years), but only under those conditions described above. My friend with a G35 and intake has the same issue.

In the owner's manual it says something about the car shutting down sometimes if affected by one of those automatic electronic readers around toll booths.

im guessing it's some eletronics stuff. I shifted and got into second gear, didnt miss, stepped on it full throttle, then traction came on and after that just played with the throttle, never pressed on the breaks. During the whole time it was in gear.

im using ARC intake btw.
