Default REV2 Install - Cooling Valve Install

Morning All.

Just about done with my REV2 + Spacer install on my ZR. Im at the point of having to install the cooling line valve.

Nervous about cutting into that hose....is this valve absolutely necessary ? Im not exactly sure about what it even does for the intake, so if someone has info on that, and thoughts on whether it can be left off or not, would really appreciate it.

...youre right...part of my problem was not completely understanding why you want to stop coolant through the intake...which I now understand....from a G35 thread.....

yeah, like a $150 inch / lb torque wrench...lol. Was worth it though. Will return the stock lower to MD and get the $125 back, which basically covers the wrench cost.

Install completed. Started first time, smooth running. Took a 10 minute ride, got on it a bit. Thinking it will take a little driving to break it in a bit and the ECU relearn since I didnt experience a very significant change in acceleration. Sounds pretty cool though.

Had the sound of fluid running under my dash the first couple of minutes when revving it a bit, but took care of itself shortly after.

Anyway, thanks for the assistance on this. ciao.
