RP is good for 2500HP dragsters doing 4.9 second quarters.....and then guess what, they rebuild and change the oil. Its has not proven well at all to run 3-5K miles without a change.

What man whats to put anything purple in or on his car anyways!?

LMAO!

id put it in on a track day...then change back to something else once I got home....

ohh wait..its purple... I personally would never use it. I shop put it in my car and I lost about a quart in 3K miles. I didnt check it because Its allways good with Penz Plat...

go figure.

How did you guys post your results? I can attach the file but I want to edit out my info first. Cant do it in adobe. Also, since no one has done a UOA on Castrol Edge, I think I'll give it a shot even though Castrol Syntec 0w-30 has been working for me fine.

Hi all, I thought I would post my first UOA sample. I've had my built engine for ~14.5k miles. I know it will be more beneficial as I start to get regular analysis done. The engine was built by Forged Performance, been using Motul competition 15w50 for the life of the engine.

you should save your money and use mobil 1 0w40, or castrol syntec 0w30 or pennzoil platinum 5w30 or 10w30.

Unless you're running test pipes, you're poisoning your cats with that high phosphorus from the heavy dose of ZDDP, buts that's race oil and formulated as such.

Haha. Most guys wouldn't bother but I know some guys in states with strict emissions would try. Plus it can help keep smells down. I think RCDash has cats on his setup and manages to pass NC state inspections.

First Sample on My G35. Ran Castrol Edge right up to 9k miles. 80% highway with some of those highway miles being in stop and go rush hour traffic. Very pleased with the results of this oil. Will be running to 11k next time.

^and there it is! I may have to send in my Pennzoil Ultra after I run it. I only run to 3800-4800 typically though... What do you think of the edge above Will?

Hmm, was wondering about the edge, 8800 miles and results look good. Not bad.
