Default 2005 track 35th engine

hello all,

i looked around and couldn't find a post about the 35th anniversary engine.
I own a 2005 track, it comes stock with the 35th engine, and would love any kind of spec or tech info about it.

Thanks

Nor mine.

I'm tired of all of "the sky is falling" threads about "all of the RevUps burning oil." Some do, some don't, get over it already!

Like any other car, if you do a lot of "extreme driving" you're going to have more maintainance issues.

(Autocrossing mine since 600 miles on the odo.)

Not to be rude or start a flame, but I am not guilty of "extreme" driving, just good occasional spirited driving, as these cars were intended to be driven, and I also am having serious oil issues. I love the car, but unless it is happening to you, I guess you don't feel any empathy. I am happy for all who have a non oil burner.

I *do* feel empathy, having had problems previously with cars. I had one case where the entire engine needed to be replaced on a 1000-mile-old car -- simply because they overbored one cylinder. Six weeks to replace the engine, because they changed the engine that year to a different (bigger) engine. Six weeks with a POS rental that cost less than half what our new car cost.

Did I start getting on forums or mailing lists saying that all of that engine sucked? That all of the other engines had the same problem? All of the replacement long blocks in the country had a mis-matched crank, and I wasn't the only one who had the same problem.

I guess that's where I'm different -- I didn't go around looking for the falling sky even though there was a known, but not acknowledged problem.

Maybe those that driver their cars really hard, i.e. auto-crossers and road racers, are immune because we push the car harder.

That's fair. I am not one of those saying the sky is falling. I do love this car, and just like the others that do as well, get very frustrated with the inability to resolve the issue. I hope it is resolved to everyones satisfaction. This is still my favorite sports car, and without a doubt a great bargain for the price.

Or check your oil regularly -- like you're supposed to.
