Default 1st Gear whine?!?

Lately I've noticed that when I have my car in first gear, it seems to have alot of gear whine. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem, or if its something that needs to be looked at. Or if switching to synthetic would help tone it down a little. The car only has 40,000 miles on it.

I just never really noticed it being that loud...I mean, its not SUPER loud, but I am usually good about the noises that my car makes, I was just wondering if anyone else's Z did it too. I've had the Car for about a year, but I was in Iraq for 7 months of that...so I have only put about 3,000 miles on the car since I got it.

If your talking about the whine that appears when you reach top speed for 1st, but instead of shifting to 2nd you just let off the accelerator, that whine is pretty normal. I actually think it sounds kinda tough, imagining all the nice torque we have available in our hands.
