Do the math. Nissan made the 287 motor. Then they made the 300. If they could have used the plenum from the 287 and the cams/timing forumla from the 300 to make an 'all powerful' engine, they would have. But they didn't, and this isn't the answer. Sorry.

So again. before and after dyno or Bull f'n Shyt.

interesting - what evidence do you have support your statement that it's bs? you have none, your comment was a useless one to the thread - it's not rocket science here, its marketing...considering the rev up vs non rev up...

besides, what did i say about the plenum? absolutely nothing....

Good info... but most likely people are gonna want some proof/evidence of this.

Fluid, when you don't know the poster, maybe you should stop and take a moment to ask where this information came from. (I personally know Wperdigon and he is not a bullshitter)

Will, what does altering the timing of the rear cam do to driveability and emissions?

I for one am all for these kind of mods making power. I was really hoping by now there would be more tricks like this for the 287 motor, but I, like most people on this forum, am not about to pull apart my valvetrain to try it out based on one run-on sentence by an unknown.

We first need a sound theory, then someone to test it. Credible reference to the OPs source would also go a long way in getting the "discussion" going.

Anyone can come on here and say whatever they want, but without proof to back something up, most smart people are gonna be skeptical. Are you willing to test this out without proven results? I think not.

I can say a cetain intake/exhaust combo makes 50 whp, but who's gonna believe that without proof?

The HR motor is completely redisigned. It is not as simple as a cam swap that makes this kind of power. I have owned a 06' and I now own a 07' and I can tell you the engine is completely different. The power comes online very early and very smooth. The torque transition is very nice, plus it pulls hard, something the DE motor couldn't do stock. Like I said, i'm no calling bs but i'm skeptical because the streetable exhaust cams cannot really add too much power.

no, most people would ask questions to acertain what level of technical knowledge the poster has and ask for specifics... not just call someone a liar.
