Default uh oh.....

Lately when i am accelerating quickly, not really fast, but getting on it 3rd gear will grind pretty badly. It doesn't grind if i shift REALLY slowly or if I'm stopped, or even when shifting down. My dad says he thinks it might be the syncro for 3rd gear. What do you guys think? And will it be covered under warranty?

nice, so it shouldn't cause me a dime? in the mean time will it hurt my tranny to drive it as long as i'm careful not to grind the gears?

very very common issue, especially with the earlier trans. I would get to the dealer ASAP and start the process. Some dealerships may try to claim it was abuse, but be persistent.

And don't let the dealerships push you around, I'm on my 4th one and this one is starting to grind again....

I had mine replaced in my '03 G35 coupe. It was a pain to get a dealer to fix it, they had to replicate the problem. Mine was bad when the tranny was cold, so I told them I would leave it over night and for them to try it then. Also complaining about it everytime you go in helps a lot. 3rd time was the charm for me.
