I've read up on a lot of different types of LSD's: Nismo, Cusco, Quaife, etc. I think I'm going to end up going with the Quaife LSD, but is that a wise choise, (I'm getting a LSD reguardless so don't worry about that) and if it is where is a place where I can buy them cheap online?

Since you have a touring, I would suggest the Cusco RS 1.5way. It should be very quiet for street use and durable enough for drag racing. Price-wise, I belive it is less expensive than the Quaife and Carbonetics LSDs.

However, it is a clutch type LSD. It is going to have more noise than stock. There's some good threads about diffs and fluid and sound.
I would have to recommend it over the Quaife only because you don't have the Base Z, which the Quaife is designed for.

A Quiafe is a gret diff, but to put it into a non base, you are looking at nearly $1800 - hardly worth it at that point
Cusco or Carbonetics/ATS is your best overall bet - and we carry both if you need em !
The secret to smooth diff operation and lack of noise is using the right setting for your useage, and using the right fluid - my Cusco is no more intrusive than stock

Good suggestions guys, I have a new 06 Base I'm looking to put a LSD on. Which one do you guys suggest????
I only plan to use it for normal street driving and "limited" street races everynow and then with those pesty BMW 325s that seem to plague the roads here.

for a base that sees the vast majority of its time on the street, the Quaife is your best bet:
