Default How much do you guys pay for to get dyno'd?

I've never gotten my Z or any other car dyno'd so I'm not sure how much I should be expecting to pay. My Z is stock right now, looking to get a baseline before I mod to see how the 07 parts are.

Also, maybe I'm just being paranoid, but before I owned my Z, the dealer took me for a ride in a brand new 07, and it was probably just his much better shifting, but that car seemed much quicker than mine. This is another reason I want a stock dyno, peace of mind that my car has all the power that it's supposed to. I really have no idea, but how common is this? Buying a new car and something's up where it has less power than it's supposed to, is this a likely scenario?

I paid a little bit less than free. I've got a friend that has a shop with a dyno.

For a simple power test, most shops charge between 60-85, depending on the type of dyno, and whether they will attach AF or other probes to your car.

in the people's republic of Khalifornia, everything is more expensive, so $100 sounds about right.

I think it's funny that everyone says CA is so expensive, but no one takes into account how much higher wages are here. There's not another state where you can make $100,000 a year being a waiter.

On topic, Most places in S.F. and Sacramento charge $75-$100. If you keep going back, the right shops will start to cut you a deal.
