Default clutch pedal question

This has happened to me twice now and I need some advise. During daily driving I will be taking off in first gear and when I release the clutch pedal it does not come all the way up like it normally does. It appears to be completely disengaged but the pedal did not come all the way up - only about half way. I can pull the clutch pedal the rest of the way up w/ my foot but then it happens again when I push it all the way down again. When this happens it doesn't seem that there is any difference in shifting and I don't hear any grinding or smell the clutch burning. Its like the clutch isn't pushing back and coming all the way up. Both times the only way I got it to go back to normal was to turn the car off and let it sit for a while. I have under 30k miles on my Z. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I too am under 30,000 but not by much. Did you have any trouble getting the dealership to fix it? I can't always reproduce this and you know how that goes...

nope, no problems at all, but if possible try to take it there when it happens, i know thats tough but it all depends how good of a dealership it is. mine realized that the master cylinder shouldnt be bleeding with only so many miles. g/l

Hi, I work in the service department and i've seen 5 z's w/ this issues... 2 of them was the master cilinder, and 3 it was the slave cilinder...take to the dealership, they'll figure it out...
