Default Dyno 05 Base

Just posting it up to see what you guys think, And do I need a utec?

The 12-16-06 dyno 3 runs

popcharger
5/16 spacer
nismo exhaust

The 5-26-07 dyno 3 runs

Aem intake
5/16 spacer
mild port and polish
strup headers
nismo exh.

And the overlay of the best from both days.

Installed by me
I had a popcharger but here in texas the thing would heat soak bad.
I also have TP but just have not had the time to install them and redyno.
Same dyno

it seems like you're not running very lean. a tune might help smooth that afr down and smooth out the curve...but i don't think it will make very big numbers.

it will lean you out more and you may gain in some areas where you are now rich, but you may loose in other areas without a tune

Lean out more, smell of un-burnt gas, gain another 2-3whp more. Thanks for showing that by adding headers only gained you minimal gains. I've always augured this point. For N/A............ not worth it!!! I would tune. If you'll be adding more, get the Utec hands down! You can always fine tune with the Utec to your cars needs, and every car is different. Re flash will do you good too but you can't fine tune it. Up to you and how much you want to spend.

The header only cost me 140 and took me 8 hrs to install. Soo for 20 hp more and 10 tq in my mid range It seems worth it to me. (see the last dyno)

What do I need to gain more top end?
Cams?
Or will I be able to gain more top end with a tune?

You've done all your bolt-on's, so I guess it's up to you where you go from here. What are your plans? Stay N/A or going FI? I would think you need to tune now, but how you would tune would factor to which way you would tune. I still think Utec would be best because of it's tun-ability (if that's a word, hey it went through spell check ). BTW I did not look at the third dyno sheet, my bad. but that's something for me to reconsider.

Thanks, I want to stay away from FI because for me that is when I just go buy a different car.

I dont want to have to constantly adjust a utec or can you just set it and forget it. I just have a busy schedule. Would I be able to get a good AF with a reflash? or am I at the point were it is utec or nothing?

My future plans are to just get it running better in the top end. I dont want much just to push the power closer to redline.

Utec you can set and forget it. I think I confused you by saying you can tinker with it. You have to know what you're doing with the utec so I'd suggest getting it tuned by a pro. I'm sure someone in the "tunning " section could help you too, since you're staying N/A. A re-flash can also help you. You tell them what you are running and they'll re-flash to give you better performance. So really it's up to you and your wallet. You'll need to buy the Utec and get it tuned and also be able to adjust if changing things on your engine. You can just get it flashed and get gains but probably not the last bit of hp out of the engine that you could. Hope I didn't confuse you even more.

I spoke with uprev they said that they could help get me 10-15hp at different point in my rpms. Temping but the price will be close to that of a utec. Hmmmm

Why have we not been back to the drags? it has not been that hot and I have test pipes waiting in my garage.

Definately a lot of power is being left on the table. A UTEC and tuning would help you out.
