Default Engine gets louder after 5000rpm

I have a 2005 JDM Z. I know the engine has CVVTCS but does the rpm suddenly quicken and engine get much louder after 5000rpm till the red line?

Something must be wrong, my engine is louder at idle than past 5000rpm's!

Of course it sounds louder. You are sitting in the right seat.

I don't live in the USA. I live in Trinidad. AEM v2 intake? Is that esp for the JDM models? You flee 0588, i don't suck, just got the Z and i previously drove three Subaru Sti's so this type of naturally aspirated performance is new to me.

The stock Z is quiet. Maybe you have an aftermarket intake on there? Go check under the hood.

na, everything looks stock, in terms of intake etc. All the articles talk about the roar of the VQ35, so i guess its new to me but normal.
