But you are factoring in the cost of gas thus when economics are involved, that is when the 350Z shines. It is not the best Sports Car regardless of price, it is simply a great Sports car that can be purchased for starting under 30K. At this point, there are not many cars that have better performance for lets say 28K. If I am wrong, please list them so I can buy it.

Yes its a 97 so its LT1 not LS1 but i'm just trying to make a point that our cars can atleast hang with bigger engine cars. LS1 owns a Z but i'm not a fan of GM.

I hate when she does that, but the slurpee or frappucino comes first to her.

it's just life, the Z isn't the most powerful thing out there
it's a sports car, similar to the concept behind what a porsche is, but cheaper

if you can't afford gas for your own car, then you shouldn't be owning a car with that much power
meaning, if the Z did have tons of power, you probably wouldn't be able to afford gas for it if you can't afford gas for any of the american cars you had

IMO the Z id the best beginner sports car. Easy to drive very forgiving, low on power so you don't get into trouble. For the price its greatperformer. When it come to power, its pretty weak. Add some turbos and its a whole other story/car, doesnt evern compare to N/A Z. Save your monies and get boosted boys and girls.

If you cruise in 6th on the highway the vette's will get the advertised 26mpg. In that same situation I'll be pushing 30mpg in the Z. It only gets worse for the LSx when you leave the highway. If you even look at the gas peddle with intent the mpg goes in the crapper. My coworker has one and averages closer to 14mpg. I'm averaging around 21mpg.

Read the post again, the Vette (Z06 especially) new is 2X or more the price of a 350Z. If price is no object, there are many cars that will smoke a 350Z. If price is no object, then why drive a 350Z if unhappy?
