After driving around for maybe 10 minutes, I notice a popping noise coming from somewhere under the car at idle. It seems to travel through the motor and exits the exhaust. I mean you can feel the little bursts of air coming out the pipes whenever it pops. I knowthis isn't normal because it isn't easy to explain. Anybody know what would cause this popping? My motor is stock BTW.

 

it's probably a miss.....change your spark plugs.

 

Hey I think I have the same problem. Hows the Idle after driving?? Ive been hearing the wierd pops.. its very faint but noticebale from the exhaust. ^^ I'll be changing my plugs soon also so I'll let you know if the sound goes away.

 

its normal.....if you want it to go away have your dealer raise the idle.

 

yeah I went to the dealership today and they said they couldn't find anything wrong...they probably didn't do ****... the idle is smooth during driving, but only makes a popping noise at idle... let me know about the spark plugs....

 

Any word if the spark plugs helped?!?! I have the same issue... Knocking noise at idle....

 

Clean the throttle body?

 

if you have an aftermarket exhaust, your gonna hear a pop, thats why the stock mufflers are so restrictive. every aftermaket exhaust i have owned has made a popping sound when letting off the throttle, if you dont have an exhaust then i would suggest checking the valves
