Well I must say, that this was very helpful, depite the jokes I still got, but hey, I walked into it. Anyway, in summary, i should simply change the plugs and clean the MAS and throttle body... I think that about sums it up?

Sounds about right. Wouldn't hurt to replace or clean (depending one which type you have now) your air filter too, since you'll have it off anyway.

All bs aside, don't worry about cleaning the MAS (mass air flow sensor) as you will run a risk of damage to it. Nissan's MAS is very sensitive to chemicals.

Also don't worry about cleaning the throttle body, but if you do remember you will need to do a throttle body relearn if you have manually moved the butterfly in the throttle body. If you do and don't do the relearn you may recieve a rough idle and maybe a check engine light.

Now your on the right track,
Mike

If done properly, you won't risk damaging your MAS. I suggest using a spray made by CRC Industries specifically for these sensors. Just be careful not to make contact with the sensor's wires when spraying it down.
