Saturday I drove 110 miles on this tank with Sea-Foam in the tank and back to Shell V-Power Gas. The light did not come on, and the car actually ran better! It came on last time after 20 miles or so. So it was either the Chevron gas, or the car needed some fuel cleaner ran through it to keep it from throwing the light on again. As of today I have driven about 140 miles no light.

Hi Chad,
It looks like you have one of our early HFC's from 2007? If they are under warranty we will absolutely replace them for you at no charge. Just forward on your info.
BERK has the lowest cracking rate & CEL rate out of all of the manufacturers. You see BERK HFC's mentioned the most on the forums because we sell more HFC's than all of the other manufacturers combined. So it's just a matter of numbers and incidents.
Regards,
BERK TECHNOLOGY

Yeah... but some that have had this code... it's been actual intake leaks ie. actual mechanical issues that needed fixing. A tune won't take care of mechanical issues.

Hey, hate to revive an old thread but, gonna do it anyways. So I have an '03 w/ Kynetix HFCs and as of yet no CEL. Problem is, I inherited a pair of Strup TPs that I really want to put on, but I'm worried about the car not passing smog inspection, as the USAF is shipping me out to HI and my Z is my DD. I did my homework (somewhat) and it appears that the only 2 solutions provided so far were the non-foulers and the wiring fix. I used to have a CEL eliminator on my old RSX that physically moved the O2 sensor away from the airflow (nothing more than an L shaped pipe), fixing the problem and making the car pass smog in the process. This is basically the same idea/concept as the non-foulers with brillo, but I'm lazy, clumsy, and don't mind paying the $30, so I was curious if anybody makes such a product that is for sale (I believe the one on my RSX was Strup), and if it would even work w/ our cars to eliminate the CEL and make the car pass smog??? Thanx in advance guys!

**UPDATE** So I said "to hell w/ it" and put my strup testpipes on the other day, decided to follow the same principal as the CEL eliminator on my RSX and move the 02 as far from the exhaust flow as I could, and it actually worked for both the CEL and Smog! (I don't know how my setup passed smog, I was frickin shocked). I used 2 sets of the Vibrant racing 02 spacers (as in 2 spacers on each TP) w/ interchangable donut washer like rings, first spacer w/ a medium one and second spacer w/ the smaller one. The only downside is that the car is running a little bit richer now, but I am resetting my ecu today, and that might solve it. I hope this is useful for some of u guys for passing OBD2 smog w/ tps. (Find a place where they dont look under the car lol)
Also, did even more homework, this time on HI emissions laws, turns out they have none ... So not really a problem anymore anyways.
